Our Story
The West Side Needed This.
The Beginning
Charleston's dining scene has always tilted east.
The peninsula, the Cannonborough-Elliotborough corner restaurants, the tourist-adjacent spots on King Street — they get the attention because they get the foot traffic. The west side of the river gets the takeout.
The Lick At 10 Windermere was built with a different assumption: that the people of James Island and West Ashley want excellent food, sourced with intention, and served without the bridge traffic. That there is a version of elevated American dining that lives in a neighborhood instead of performing for visitors.
No bridge required.

The Standard
A menu built around what you actually want to eat.
The raw bar is serious. The wagyu partnerships — with CHS Wagyu for locally raised cattle and Purely Meat Co. for wet-aged USDA Prime — represent a sourcing standard that most neighborhoods don't get. Joyce Farms chicken. Gulf shrimp. Real stocks and real sauces.
This is dinner done right, at the address where it belongs.

What We Stand For
West Side's Own
You should not have to cross a bridge for a great dinner. The Lick exists for James Island, West Ashley, and every corner of 29407.
Sourced with Purpose
CHS Wagyu. Purely Meat Co. Joyce Farms. Real partnerships, real provenance. This is not a menu that guesses at quality.
The Whole Spread
Raw bar to raw wagyu. A shrimp cocktail and a 40oz Tomahawk can share the same table. Come in groups, come in pairs, come alone at the bar.
Dinner Done Right
Four o’clock through eleven. This is the serious part of the evening and The Lick takes it seriously.
